Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000 Inverter-Charger

The MultiPlus-II is the centrepiece of demanding off-grid installations. It combines a 5000 VA pure sine inverter, a 70 A battery charger and a 50 A transfer switch in one enclosure, removing much of the wiring a piece-by-piece system requires.

PowerAssist is the feature that impresses most in daily use: when a 3 kW generator can no longer start a compressor, the MultiPlus instantly adds the missing power from the batteries instead of letting the generator stall. You can therefore install a smaller, quieter, thriftier generator.

Up to six units parallel and three go three-phase. Paired with a GX device, the system reports production, consumption and state of charge to the VRM portal, accessible from anywhere. This is what we install when the customer wants one thing: that it works, for twenty years.
