An off-grid system is more than a panel and a battery. Generation, storage and conversion all have to be sized around the building’s real consumption, its orientation and the Québec winter. We select every component — panels, hybrid inverter, LiFePO4 lithium battery, charge controller, DC protection — so that they work together rather than merely side by side.
We sell online only, which lets us offer the best price on CSA/UL certified equipment and put the rest into what matters: a clear diagram before you buy, complete datasheets, and a team that answers the phone, before and after the sale.

A well-designed off-grid system produces all year round, December included. The key is the balance between peak panel power, usable battery capacity and tilt angle: at our latitude a steeper array captures the low winter sun far better and sheds its own snow.
That sizing work is what we do with you before selling you anything. An oversized kit costs money for nothing; an undersized one leaves you in the dark in January. We aim for the right middle ground, with the numbers to back it up.

Q&A – Answers to your energy questions
Almost always, provided you have a well-exposed south-facing surface and know your consumption. A comfortable off-grid home in Québec usually needs 4 to 8 kW of panels and 15 to 20 kWh of battery at 48 V. Send us your daily kWh and we will tell you frankly whether the project stands up.
It depends on your kWh per day. Under 1 kWh: 100 to 200 W of panels and about 100 Ah at 12 V. From 3 to 6 kWh: 600 W to 1 kW and 4 to 8 kWh of storage at 24 V. From 10 to 20 kWh: 4 to 8 kW of panels and 15 to 20 kWh at 48 V. Above that, 8 kW and up with a generator to cover December and January.
Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) for any permanent installation: around 6,000 cycles, 90% usable capacity, no maintenance and a third of the weight of lead-acid. Batteries must live in a tempered room, because charging below 0 °C is forbidden without built-in pre-heating — a detail many sellers forget to mention in Québec.
We sell online only and ship everywhere in Canada, remote regions included. We do not carry out the installation ourselves, but we provide the wiring diagram, the list of mandatory DC protection devices and technical support by phone or email throughout the build.
Allow two to five working days for a complete residential kit once the equipment is on site: one day for the structure and panels, one or two for the technical room (battery, inverter, protection) and one for testing. The final connection must be made or verified by a master electrician registered with the CMEQ.
