LY 2546B Economy Crimper

An LY 2546B ratcheting crimper for compressing the metal pin of an MC4 connector onto 2.5, 4 or 6 mm² solar cable. Three dies, one per size, cut directly into the head.

The ratchet does the real work: it prevents the tool from opening before the full stroke is reached. A half-finished crimp therefore cannot leave the tool, and that is precisely the defect that causes connectors to overheat two winters later.

This is the occasional installer’s or owner-builder’s choice: it does proper work over a few dozen connectors. For daily use, the industrial A-2546B takes far less effort from the hand.
