Solar Cable Stripper 2.5 / 4 / 6 mm²

A precision stripping tool calibrated for the three common photovoltaic cable sizes: 2.5, 4 and 6 mm². The blades stop on the matching detent so the jacket comes off in one pull without biting into the strands.

Solar cable is not building wire. Its thick, elastic cross-linked double insulation makes a knife slide rather than cut. The result is almost always a few severed strands — invisible once the connector is crimped, but they reduce the effective cross-section, create a hot spot and eventually melt the MC4 years later.

This is the tool you use before the crimper, and the only one that guarantees a consistent strip length from one connector to the next. Across a twenty-module array, that consistency shows up in the readings.
