This gland routes PV cables from the roof into the building, creating an entry point that stays sealed for decades. Its wide base spreads the load on the roofing and its perimeter EPDM gasket compresses as you screw it down.
Unlike a plain hole caulked with silicone — which dries, cracks and leaks after three or four winters — the gland's geometry directs runoff around the cable entry rather than into it. That is a design difference, not just a material one.
Its two outlets accept 5 to 12 mm cables, covering a pair of 10 AWG PV cables or one PV cable plus a communication cable. Supplied with gasket, stainless fasteners and installation instructions.
The power of intelligent energy management
The cover's shape directs runoff around the cable pass-through. Silicone only plugs; geometry diverts.
EPDM keeps its elasticity from -40 to +120 °C, where a foam gasket compresses permanently after two seasons.
No rust streaks on the roofing in five years, unlike galvanized screws whose coating wears through as you drive them.
