Description
The MNEPV is the standard string breaker in North American combiner boxes. Its 15 A rating matches the protection required for a panel string whose short-circuit current is under 10 A, which covers nearly every residential module.
Its hydraulic-magnetic design has a real advantage over thermal breakers: the trip threshold does not drift with ambient temperature. In a sun-exposed enclosure reaching 60 °C in summer and -30 °C in winter, that stability prevents nuisance trips.
It mounts on DIN rail and fits MidNite combiners as well as most generic enclosures. It is an inexpensive part that protects both your panels and the return cable in case of a string fault.
