A sugar shack, a workshop shed, a hunting camp: there are plenty of buildings where running a power line would cost more than everything else combined. This 1 kW kit solves that for a fraction of the price.
It delivers roughly 3 to 4 kWh per day in summer, enough for full LED lighting, a small fridge, a pump, cordless tool charging and a radio. The 2.4 kWh LiFePO4 battery handles cold: unlike lead-acid it does not lose half its capacity at -10 °C and tolerates 6000 cycles.
Installation is deliberately simple. Four 250 W panels, a 1.5 kW hybrid inverter with built-in MPPT, a wall-mount battery, breakers and 20 m of PV cable. A methodical DIYer finishes the build in a weekend with the supplied diagram.
The power of intelligent energy management
Lighting, refrigeration, pump and tool charging. This kit does not pretend to heat a building, which is why it stays affordable.
LiFePO4 with a heated BMS keeps its usable capacity down to -20 °C, where a lead-acid battery would be half dead.
The inverter accepts up to 1600 W of panels and a second battery. Start small and grow next year.
