N-Type TOPCon technology is the real generational leap in photovoltaics. Unlike classic P-Type cells, phosphorus doping eliminates the light-induced degradation (LID) that historically cost 2 to 3 % of output in the first year. The Tiger Neo loses only 1 % in year one, then 0.4 % per year.
At 22.0 % efficiency, this module produces roughly 7 % more than a P-Type panel of the same area. On a cabin roof where space is tight, that can be the difference between running a freezer continuously or not. Its -0.29 %/°C temperature coefficient is also among the best on the market.
