Description
A two-position rotary switch, ON and OFF, rated for 200 amps continuous from 12 to 48 volts. It goes on the positive cable between the battery bank and the rest of the system.
This is the part that makes a system workable. Physically isolating the battery before opening an enclosure, retightening a lug or swapping an inverter is the difference between routine work and a several-hundred-amp arc. A lithium or lead bank is not disconnected by pulling on a wire.
Do not mistake it for protection: a switch does not trip on overcurrent. It works upstream or downstream of a fuse or DC breaker, never instead of one. And respect the rating: 200 A is the limit, not the target.
