Description
An FDS-32 ceramic fuse rated 25 amps at 1000 volts DC, in the standard 10 × 38 mm format. It fits any holder of that size, on DIN rail or inline.
25 A suits slightly larger strings, or the feeder from a combiner that parallels several modules. A reminder of the principle: in parallel, every string needs its own fuse, because the other strings can back-feed current into a faulted one. That sum is what the fuse has to break.
Like every photovoltaic fuse, this one is specifically DC-rated. The ceramic body and its filling smother a DC arc, which a glass AC fuse does not. Always keep a few spares: one blown fuse stops a whole string.
