Description
Paralleling two panels doubles the current while keeping voltage the same. That is exactly what a 12 V system needs when you cannot raise voltage, typically an RV or a cabin.
These MC4 Y connectors make the connection right at the panels, with no combiner or junction box. Each branch accepts 30 A and the assembly is IP67 rated, meant to stay exposed on a roof year-round.
One useful caution: beyond two parallel strings, code normally requires per-string fuse protection, which a Y connector does not provide. At that point move to a combiner box with fuse holders.
